Tigers
Pre-School 3-5 years
Pre school children at Queens Pre-School are called Tigers. They benefit from the optimum balance, of carefully planned early years educational subjects, structured and free play.
The pupil staff ratio is a maximum of one to seven. This ensures valuable one to one and small group attention whilst children are involved in learning activities. The Pre-School is staff team is led by a senior Nursery Nurse who provide a flexible and stimulating timetable.
The children's work in the Tigers is an extension of earlier achievements in the Squirrels and Badgers. The carefully tailored English, Mathematics, Science, Technology, History, Geography, and Art curriculum is methodically planned using the Early Learning 
Goals. A specialist French teacher visits on Monday afternoons.
A specialist Dance, Music and Drama teacher teaches on Wednesday and Friday mornings. The children love the variety of musical and drama activities and develop confidence in their abilities.
Research shows that an educational pre-school provides a child with solid foundations for future learning, whilst developing social skills, independence and self esteem.
