Terms and Conditions January 2008 - March 2009

Within the terms and conditions 'the Nursery' is Queens Pre-School Day Nursery and Queens Baby Nursery. We reserve the right to change hours, fees or terms and conditions without notice to facilitate the safe and effective running of the Nursery.

Personal Property

Children need to wear clothes which are practical, easy to wash and  allow freedom to play and work comfortably. At Queens Pre-School Day Nursery we recommend the ‘uniform’ is worn. Parents are required to keep a supply of spare clothes in their child’s tray. All children’s property and clothing must be named. A form to order name tapes is available from the office.

Parents are required to provide nappies, wipes, cream and milk feeds if required.

Loss or Damage

Queens Pre-School Day Nursery and Queens Baby Nursery are unable to accept responsibility for children's possessions and clothing.

Annual Christmas Closure

Our annual Christmas and New Year closure varies from year to year.

Attendance

The Nursery is open from 8.00 am to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas and New Year. Children can attend as much of a chosen session as required. Parents should notify the Nursery by 10.00 a.m. if their child is unable to attend for any reason or is going to arrive after 10.00 a.m. An increase in sessions is available on request. Casual attendance for extra sessions is sometimes available. We can sometimes accommodate special requirements within the opening hours of the Nursery.

Collection

Children will not be allowed to leave the Nursery premises alone. The person collecting the child must be known to the Nursery staff. Late collection charge evening is £15 per quarter hour or part thereof. This covers the cost of keeping two members of staff on duty. If you are late it is essential that you contact the Nursery.

Promotion & Nursery Records

Attendees and their parents/carers consent to their being photographed and the subsequent use of such images in Nursery Records and promotional material such as monthly Newsletters to parents, our web site and local newspapers. .

Admissions

Queens Baby Nursery admissions are accepted on receipt of a completed enrolment form and fee of £50.00. This also covers Enrolment at Queens Pre-School Day Nursery. Enrolment at Queens Pre-School Day Nursery is £35.00. These fees cover administration and are non returnable. Early registration on our waiting list is advised to ensure that your preferred days are available. For enrolment to the Baby Nursery we require a copy of your babies’ birth certificate. Sibling enrolment is discounted by £10. On admission your child will receive a Nursery t-shirt and a school bag.

Health

Should your child, or member of your family, contract a notifiable disease or infectious ailment you must  inform us. We are then able to inform other parents promptly. Please do not bring your child to Nursery if they are ill.

The Nursery reserves the right to refuse entry to any child which the Nursery Manager considers to be unwell or suffering from any contagious or infectious complaint. If your child becomes ill during Nursery we will attempt to contact you.

If we are unable to contact you, we will contact the `authorised people’ on the enrolment form. The Nursery staff may act in loco parentis for the child in case of illness, accident or emergency. Staff will take such actions as the Manager sees fit, including hospitalisation, whether or not the parents or next of kin have been informed.

Every possible efforts will be made to contact the parents or authorised people in an emergency. More information on Health and Safety

Notice Of Leaving

One full months written notice is required of reduction in sessions and of leaving. Fees are payable even if your child does not attend the Nursery during this period. Children may be given notice at the discretion of the Management, such reasons include consistent anti-social behaviour, overdue fees or any other reason as decided by the Manager.

Changes

Parents/Guardians are required to inform the Nursery immediately if any of the information given on the enrolment form changes. This includes mobile phone numbers.

Parking

Queens Baby Nursery has a dropping-off point for delivering and collecting children. Parents who wish to remain in the Nursery for more than five minutes are requested to find an alternative visitors parking space. There is a car park at the rear of Queens Pre-School Day Nursery which parents are welcome to use.

Prospectus Terms And Conditions

The Prospectus terms and conditions shall not be construed as containing any misrepresentations under The Misrepresentation Act 1967. All statements in the prospectus are intended to be statements of opinion made in good faith and believed to be true, but must not be regarded as representations on the basis of which children are entered for the Nursery.
